McVeigh Parker have made impressive progress in 2023 with the completion of a number of successful projects throughout Spring and Summer.

McVeigh Parker has had a busy year so far with the launch of their new Dura 2 timber fencing range, a distribution agreement with a well-known Kiwi fencing brand and the fulfilment of a number of notable projects including the M62 motorway and Seaforth Nature Reserve at Liverpool Docks.

In April they successfully launched the new Dura 2 timber fencing range supported by a presence at a number of exhibitions which proved to be well received according to Chris Hambridge.

Chris explained: “There has already been a positive uptake as well as repeat orders and many are looking to use this long-life solution for their future projects. Dura2 is a cost-effective alternative to steel and creosote.”

In May Strainrite Fencing & Tools chose McVeigh Parker to take on the wholesale and distribution of this popular New Zealand brand.  You can shop our range online here.

“Retailers, contractors and stockists will now benefit from McVeigh Parker’s national coverage and sales teams expertise,” added Chris.

The McVeigh Parker Triple X fencing brand once again picked up more plaudits with an installation in June along the M62.

Sales Director Stuart Mills said, “Highways England needed to replace 8500m of fencing alongside the M62. A lot of the fencing had to be done at night due to closure restrictions. The contractors managed to take down 300m of old pylon post fencing which had been concreted in, then install 300m of Triple X fencing each night.

“There was a reduced need for heavy machinery and the project had to be delivered without the need for concrete. Despite this, the project was completed ahead of time and under budget. The site was monitored nightly and Highways England were pleased with the work.

“The contractors were especially impressed with the Triple X fencing system considering the extremely challenging conditions and terrain,” said Stuart.

In addition anti predator fencing was designed and supplied for Seaforth Nature Reserve at Liverpool Docks as a result of nesting birds being attacked by foxes on the causeway.

“McVeigh Parker advised and helped to design a Predator Triple X Fence using a standard Clipex post with vertical extensions and electric top lines. There was also a need for the fencing to be installed in tidal water. Timber had not lasted in the past so the all-steel Triple X fencing seemed the logical solution for a longer lasting fence,” concluded Stuart.
