Branch Manager - Cambridge 

McVeigh Parker Fencing and Farming Suppliers are looking for a dynamic and experienced General Manager for our Cambridgeshire branch.

As branch manager you will play a key role in the success of your branch. You will be focussing on branch sales and deliveries, customer retention and development of new markets. You will also be responsible for controlling branch costs and ensuring colleagues and customers conform to all aspects of health and safety.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure the branch operates efficiently, safely, and profitably.
  • Monitor and identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance overall sales and productivity.
  • Create a constant drive towards increased sales and customers, whilst maintaining a solid base of regular customers with your exceptional service.
  • Promote a positive and collaborative work environment. Motivate, mentor, and lead your team to success, ensuring each member feels able to contribute their best.
  • Oversee financial aspects of the branch, monitor costs, manage customers’ accounts, and identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost savings.
  • Control stock purchasing, maintaining appropriate stock levels.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements. Implement and uphold best practices to maintain a high standard of professionalism and integrity.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and changes, adapting the branch's strategies and operations to meet evolving market demands.

We are looking for:

  • Proven experience in a managerial role, preferably in a branch management capacity.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Energy and creativity to drive sales forward.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Financial acumen and experience with budget management.
