Summary
As a Sales Executive, you’ll be at the heart of our customer experience—engaging with clients at the trade counter, over the phone and online. You’ll help grow sales, build lasting relationships and ensure every customer leaves satisfied.
Responsibilities -
- Preparing and following up on quotations to convert leads into sales
- Advising customers on product options, upgrades and value-adds
- Tracking quotation success rates and identifying missed opportunities
- Processing orders efficiently and keeping customers informed
- Reporting competitor pricing to help us stay ahead
- Maintaining accurate sales records and CRM updates
- Supporting marketing efforts including social media updates
- Collaborating with transport, store and admin teams to ensure smooth operations
- Assisting with trade shows and seasonal merchandising

- Strong communication skills—confident in person and on the phone

- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors when needed

Key Account Manager (Sales)
Location: Scotland
We are seeking a dynamic Key Account Manager to join our team at McVeigh Parker. This role is responsible for managing and developing relationships with our most important clients, ensuring their needs are met while driving sales growth.
Responsibilities -
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts
- Analyse client needs and provide tailored solutions to drive sales growth
- Communicate effectively with clients and address concerns
- Lead negotiations and contract discussions
- Use Salesforce to track activity, manage pipelines, and report performance metrics
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver exceptional service
Requirements -
- Proven experience in account management or sales (B2B preferred)
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork abilities

Transport Manager
Location: Worcestershire
Responsibilities -
- Collating the orders that are ready for dispatch into delivery areas depending on weight, volume, and any time constraints that may apply.
- Ensure the right vehicle for the task is used, to make the load as economical as possible.
- Liaise with Drivers re extra work hours i.e., early starts / late finishes.
- Organize and book orders to be sent out by Pallet Carrier and organize orders to be sent out via post / parcel.
- Ensure we have fuel in our depot tanks and reorder as needed.
- Check loads before loading, rectifying any problems where necessary.
- Liaise with the Yard Supervisor about picking deliveries for the next day.
- Sort out any problems arising from the day’s deliveries.
- Ensure our customers have been called to make them aware their delivery is on its way.
Legally important tasks which MUST be adhered to wherever relevant -
- Ensure all relevant vehicles (above 3.5T) are sent for their 6-week PMI inspections on time and booked in for MOT when needed annually.
- Ensure that those inspections also include a brake test, and that all the reports are stored in depot to prove the inspections have been completed correctly.
- Be responsible for all forklift servicing and repairs.
- Organise annual LOLER and safety checks for Moffetts and Cranes.
- Ensure any vehicle defects that drivers have flagged up are rectified as soon as possible and signed off by the ‘Transport Manager’.
- Check that any invoices from repairing contractors are correct for the work that has been carried out.
- Ensure that all Tachographs are in calibration as per legal requirements.
- Keep drivers up to date with any changes in Tachograph laws, driving time legislation, and changes in the highway code.
- Download driver’s Tachograph cards and vehicle units as per legal requirements and ensure the data is saved on the server.
- Check drivers’ licenses for infringements etc. and that they are booked on to Drivers CPC courses as required.
- Report any accidents or Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) checks to the company Logistics Manager, or Chris Hambridge, CEO.
- Inform the Logistics Manager about any hire vehicles etc. which need adding to our insurance.
- Liaise with the company Logistics Manager keeping up to date with current company policies and new legislation, inform drivers of any changes in Company Policy and new legislation.
- Ensure that records of all relevant tasks are maintained, kept legible and up to date, and made available for inspection.
