Clipex® 2000 series cattle crushes are the most innovative in the series with optional extras like automatic catching, weighing & drafting available. They are air operated and feature a split entry gate. double parallel squeeze with near-side and offside options for the same price. They are hot dipped galvanised and also feature a super heavy duty head bail complete with chin bar with infinite, silent locking mechanisms. It has two head bail handles, front and rear, for safe stock handling.
Pneumatic Control
Operate the Head bail, parallel squeeze and entry gate with the touch of a button! Our safe pneumatic controls work on a hybrid system where we only use low air pressure to operate doors and gates, but rely on mechanical locks to do the heavy grunt work of holding the animal. The result means you can’t injure cattle by applying too much air pressure, but you can hold the toughest animals securely with the mechanical one-way infinite locks.
Optional Autonomous Control
The 2000 Series Crush comes with the option to upgrade to an Autonomous control system. This control system includes sensors that detect animals and will automatically control the entry gate and head bail to catch cattle within the crush. When used with our 5 way Pneumatic cattle drafter and a suitable weigh scale indicator, this control system can automatically draft cattle up to 6 ways based on electronic identification or weight. The autonomous control can be overridden manually at any time.
Split Entry Gate
Unique features to the 2000 Series include the Split entry gate, 80 x 80mm frame and the offside gate. The split entry gate parts in the middle, increasing the speed of operation and helping prevent cattle doubling up when entering the crush. The offside gate works by opening all the doors on the offside, allowing the cattle to be released out the side of the crush.
Double Safety Gate
The 1500 and 2000 series crushes feature our Super Duty Head bail. This head bail uses two silent, infinite locks - one on each door, independent from the door linkages. What this means is that if one lock ever fails, the other lock will still hold both doors. (Be careful of other crushes on the market that have an individual lock on each door connected via a linkage. If one of these locks fail, the cattle can push on that door which pushes the door linkage and automatically unlocks the other door. These crushes may seem safer because they have two locks, but actually have an increased failure rate, since only one of the two locks need to fail before the head bail lets go)
Superior Strength
Clipex® believes crushes should last a lifetime. Our 1500 Series crushes are fabricated with a 450 mpa 50mm x 50mm RHS. That equates to a crush that is 80% stronger than 250 grade mild steel for the same weight. The crushes also use innovative CLIPEX socket castings in the corners that are 70% stronger than a tradition butt joints.
Ultimate Corrosion Protection
What good is an unbreakable cattle crush, if it deteriorates irreparably over time due do corrosive animal excrement? The 1500 series and 2000 series crushes have been meticulously designed from the ground up to feature the best corrosion protection available - hot dipped galvanising. Have confidence that your investment will last a lifetime.
Silent Operation
All 1500 and 2000 Series Crushes come with our patented anti-rattle slam catches on all the doors. These catch work on a taper system that hold the doors tight and eliminate rattle and noise and rattle helping your cattle stay calmer. We also use Nylon bushes for all the moving parts, helping eliminates squeaks, as well as innovative solutions that keep the pneumatic air valves whisper quiet.
Head Holder Included
A head holder, also commonly know as a chin bar is also included. After the cattle are caught in the Head bail, the head holder swings up underneath the head of the cattle using our silent infinite lock. The holder is shaped like a scoop with a layer of rubber to better support the animals neck. Just lift a lever to release the lock, and the scoop falls back down and out of the way.
